Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons,
Province of Ontario and Its Jurisdiction
PROVISIONAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS:
The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, F. & A. M.,
Province of Ontario and Jurisdiction, has existed since 1856, and
professes the same Masonic principles and ideals of the Most Worshipful
Grand Lodges in Canada A.F. & A.M. which said Grand Lodges have existed
for the period namely:
Alberta 1905
British Columbia 1871
Canada (In the Province of Ontario) 1855
Manitoba 1875
New Brunswick 1867
Nova Scotia 1866
Prince Edward Island 1875
Quebec 1869
Saskatchewan 1906
WHEREAS:
All said Grand Lodges desire to remain autonomous within themselves,
operating hereafter as heretofore, with their own Grand Master, Rules
and Regulations, Lodges and Memberships, etc., and
WHEREAS:
There is a latent desire to accord mutual recognition one with the
other, with rights and/or privileges of visitation with Grand Lodge and
Lodges assembled,
Therefore be it resolved:
That the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted
Masons, Province of Ontario and Jurisdiction, in order to establish a
more perfect Brotherhood, hereby agrees to accord fraternal recognition
for purposes of inter-visitation to all, or any, of the abovementioned
Canadian Grand Lodges of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons which may
wish to accord reciprocal fraternal recognition to the Most Worshipful
Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, Province of Ontario
and Jurisdiction.
Further, be it understood that this resolution shall be interpreted to
be a progressive step whereby Masonry becomes the Centre of union and
the means of conciliating true friendships among persons that must have
remained at a perpetual distance, as has been an objective from time
immemorial.
Approved unanimously at the 136th Annual Grand Communication, August 13,
1991
